Riga – the capital of Latvia, as well as the largest of the three Baltic capitals – astounding travelers with its magnificent Old Town, beautiful and Art Nouveau buildings and crazy nightlife.

Beach Box Camps destination Jurmala is a resort town located next to Riga and has a 33 km (21 miles) stretch of white-sand beach. It was the popularity of this location for summertime rest which transformed former fishing villages into a swimming resort over 100 years ago. Boulevards were laid and picturesque wooden towered villas constructed to become summer residences of Riga’s rich.

But why do we consider Jurmala such a special place: the beach volleyball career of Aleksandrs Samoilovs started exactly here, therefore he calls this place his home. In Jurmala Beach he has learned to play beach volleyball, and a lot of sweat was lost here, to reach the highest achievements in this sport. During the camps, Aleksandrs is happy to show the best places in Jurmala, and of course share his knowledge and experience with the camp participants while organizing the trainings on his home beach.
